After removing everything from the three rooms being re-carpeted, it became apparent to everyone that more bookshelves are necessary in my house. (I completely underestimated the amount of time it would take to move all that crap - thank goodness Margaret came over to help me pack and move the books!) I had been toying with the idea of bookshelves in the office, and loved the idea that Margaret and Forrest came up with. The progress is shown below.
Since everything else had been painted, and there were new shelves, the office and guest room got a new coat of paint as well. I love the color in the office - it is called "After the Rain."
I'm gradually getting books and things moved back into the office - and really trying to stay organized! I just need to get all the books out of the attic now.
