Steady Progress

Despite my lack of postings, progress is being made. The "laundry closet" is framed in, plumbed and they have started putting up the insulation between the kitchen and guest bathroom wall.

Most of the work has been done on the outside - the roof on the addition is now done, so that all of the roofing is complete. (I'm not sure why I still have shingle samples on my front porch, but I'm sure the roofer will get those back at some point!) The inspector also gave approval to cover the outside, so the stucco process has begun. The pictures below show the house covered with wire - then the base coat goes on.

In the meantime, I'm busy trying to finalize the cabinet design and looking for lighting fixtures. Not easy decisions at all!

Next week, they are working on finalizing the electrical - we have already gone through and identified where all the light switches will be. I'm just hoping that what makes sense when there is nothing in the kitchen will make sense once I start using it.
