Getting Back To Normal (Sort of)
In anticipation of Peter, Becky and Brian's upcoming visit, I was able to clear a path to bed in the guest room - it was quite an accomplishment. Margaret and Forrest are also off for a few days with visiting relatives, so they tried to help get the place back to normal as much as possible.
It is great to have the dining room table actually in the dining room. I had been trying to watch the Olympics while sitting on the couch - but it didn't work very well, peering over the dining room table.
I have order lights, as previously mentioned, but we were trying to decide if the size of the bowl for the dining room was the right size. It will look much better than the cardboard cutout, but I think that size works!
The cabinets are all ordered, and they will be back at the taping, etc. of the drywall when they get back from their break. And, while waiting on the cabinets, we'll also get started on the deck! Right now, the backyard is an absolute mess, so it will be great once it gets put back together. And, fortunately for me, John agreed to take my month of hosting Diner's Club, so I don't have to entertain in a construction zone. It should be completely done come February, which is my new month!
