Counters!
The long awaited countertops have arrived! I took today off, to spend with Dad and Rosemary, so we quickly got ready this morning so Margaret, Forrest and the DeLorenzo guys wouldn't catch us in our pjs. Of course, they were a bit late, so we left for breakfast. When we came back, they were in the process of installing the granite. I think it is beautiful!

The slabs had to be combined in this corner (because the slabs themselves are very small), but you can hardly tell. Also, you can see that the glass has been installed in the cabinet doors, too. It is looking good.
I'm very glad I listened to others and decide to go with the granite backsplash. I just love the Costa Esmeralda Dark. And, the double beveled edges look much better than I ever expected. It is a good thing Dad and Rosemary are leaving tomorrow, since we are very inconvenienced by the fact that I can't use the kitchen sink for two days. But soon it will all be functional.
