So, the good news is that my bathroom didn't decide to fall apart until after I decided to remodel it. The bad news is that it was in much worse shape than anyone expected. Dry rot in the floor and the room framing, plumbing problems ...the list goes on and on. (Hopefully the remodelling bills won't do the same!) I am sparing everyone pictures of some pretty nasty looking stuff behind the old walls and floor.
But there is more good news -- I am no longer constrained to just fixing the old layout, since I need to replace the plumbing anyway. So, I have decided to change it around a little. I think it will be an even better layout. I guess I should just be grateful that the whole thing didn't come tumbling apart before I was ready for all of this.
