And The Walls Came Tumbling Down

Today I came home from work with great anticipation - - the old wall to the outside was coming down. It was so exciting to be able to run around in the new space as one big room. Well, except for the fact that the living room is separated from the rest by a nice sheet of plastic. And, the dining room table is in the living room now. It is getting a bit crowded and messy now, but it is exciting to see what soon will be. The view from the backyard is below. The view from the front door before this all started:
The view today:

I am now standing in the new dining room, looking at where the kitchen will be. If you look at the ceiling, you can see the hole for one of the skylights.
Looking back into the old kitchen:
Standing in the new kitchen, looking at the old dining room. To the right of the garden window, is where the new bay window will be - it is covered in plywood for security, since the windows haven't come in yet. They made a huge amount of progress today, but so did I! I finally finished packing up the kitchen. Nearly everything that was in there is now packed in boxes and stored in the guest room or office. It will be a hassle to unpack, not to mention live until it is done, but it will be worth it.
