Unfortunately, some of the orange tree branches had to give way to the railing, so the city inspector will approve it, but it probably needed trimming anyway.

The Deck Surprise
The deck is also coming along. Forrest milled the pieces of ipe (the Brazilian hardwood used in the deck) at their house and put together the railing pieces. The surprise is the very cool, bungalow style details they built into it. (There will be caps on top of the posts when it is done.) In anticipation of the rain over the Thanksgiving holiday, they cleared off the deck and it looks really good.
