Thanksgiving of WHAT year?
Yes, I made the classic assumption that when they mentioned it would be done by Thanksgiving, they meant THIS year. But, as many projects go, there are still some details left to be taken care of. The good news is that the cabinet moulding was done before Turkey day! It took several models (because I can't visualize very well from a drawing) and many different ideas before we could agree on something, but I really like how it has finished off the cabinets.
The corners were a bit tricky with the pre-finished pieces that match the cabinet, and even though Forrest pointed out where he wasn't happy with the exact fit, I don't think anyone can tell.
Also, while I was out in the desert trying to play golf and eat turkey, they hung the light fixtures in the dining room. The sconces are really great and now I have enough light to operate under, should the need ever arise. Fortunately dimmer switches are required to get the final sign-off, but those are still on the list of things to do.
One of the sconces.
Finally, I apologize for the lack of posts. My computer was acting up and I was having a lot of trouble getting on the internet. Looks like some of the moving furniture in the office may have jiggled something. But, I was able to get it back working tonight.
