Cabinets!
After breaking down and buying a new camera today, I rushed home to see the new cabinets. Margaret and Forrest were still there, so it was good to talk to them. They had a long day - the cabinets were delivered at 10AM, and they had to inventory tons of boxes. Of course, the cabinet people don't make it easy -- none of the numbers on our inventory sheet matched the numbers on the boxes. But, they got it all figured out and started the installation. They are doing the lowers first - so the stone guys can come out and measure for the countertops. While I have no cooking facilities now, I can see that I will soon!
Boxes everywhere!
Living room and dining room full of cabinet boxes.
And, the next pictures will be much better with the new camera, once the battery gets charged.

Why don't they put flooring down before they put cabinets in? They did it that way in our house and when we tore the cabinets out, we had big bare spots on the floor that had to be filled in.

I can also attest to the lunacy that is putting cabinets in first and then floor. When we replaced our gross laminate with tile, we encountered the same issue. And then the delightful part when the refrig no longer fits the slot because it is too tall.
